Kickstart Term 2!

With Term 2 starting (gulp) tomorrow, we thought we’d make sure you’d have the opportunity to plan more awesome networking and professional learning with your wonderful Wellington colleagues.

Firstly, come and have a drink with us on Friday 1st May at The Fork and Brewer. RSVP here.

Secondly, come and have a chat with us on Tuesday 26th May at our next EduIgnite evening. This is kindly being hosted by The Mind Lab in Petone. It’s on the ground floor of the tall glass IBM building at 25 Victoria Street. Parking is available on site, and drinks and nibbles will be provided.

Not sure what an “EduIgnite” evening is? Here is a run-down:

What is ignite? Ignite is an event in over 100 cities worldwide. At the events Ignite presenters share their personal and professional passions, using 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds for a total of just five minutes.

The rules:

  • Drinks and nibbles are always provided, and anyone is welcome
  • Attendance at your first Ignite evening is ‘no strings attached’
  • Attendance at your second Ignite Evening requires you to do one of two things: i) bring a friend, or ii) present an Ignite talk.

All EduIgnite sessions are 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start.

Keen? Register here (It’s completely free! You’ll hear from awesome speakers! You’ll get to meet more fabulous, innovative, local educators! You’ll get a tour around the groovy Mind Lab! What more could you possibly want from a professional learning experience? Wine? Oh, there’ll be some of that too!)
